Much प्रसंग, Very व्याख्या of "Maharana : A Thousand Year War For Dharma"

"जो दृढ़ राखे धर्म को,
तेहि राखे करतार"

I have read alot about the Rajput history and am convinced since my first read that Rajput history is history of Bharat or vice versa, but there were still some stones unturned, some stories that just didn't made sense, some incidents that were too complex, and some happenings that would fill me with rage every time I read about them. This magnificently awestrucking book "Maharanas : a thousand year war for dharma" is the answer to each and every single one of them queries and unexplained series of events.
To start off with, let me introduce you to the author and how I came to know of him. Aadarniya Dr. Shri Omendra Singh Ratnu is a renowned surgeon and a hard working social worker. I first came to know about him when I was reading up about the Citizenship amendment act. I was all curious that there might be some people who must be working to bring people back from the islamic hellhole called Pakistan and then I learned about this NGO "Nimittekam" and it's volunteer Aadarniya Shri Jai Aahuja ji. I started searching about him and was immediately impressed when watched his video about Halal economy (being an economics post grad, it was something to read and write about as well). Thanks to my youtube algorithm, I stumbled across a video that claimed to debunk myths about Maharaja Jaichandra Singh Gaharwar, and there I saw Dr. Ratnu for the first time explaining things with so much feels i never got enough of his sessions since then.

Coming back to the book, Maharanas being and exhaustive read of 400 pages is a book worth worshipping every single day. Maharanas is the cyclopaedic granth that was missing. Rajasthan and it's rajputs have this very strong system of keeping the history of their lineage properly and people that were put to this task specifically are called "Bhat Ji". I always used to think that an average Rajasthani kshatriya has his bhats keeping record, how could all we know of a royal clan is that somewhere around the 7th century HH Bhagwan Bappa Rawal claimed power, many years later HH Rana Sanga came into play and with HH Maharana Pratap's defeat at Haldighati in 16th century the clan ceased to exist. The author dismantles this narrative and puts forth the facts and figures about the actual series of events.
Author had a tight grip on the course of stories and never once digresses from the ongoing case. It shows the sincerity of the author that he wants to present a scholarly work of historical literature rather than making a storybook. Although he does manages to induct relevant anecdotes without them letting overpower the mainstream. Author not only explains about one royal house, The Sisodiya Clan but also pays due respect to the warriors who attained Veergati serving Hindu dharma, Ma bharti and their Maharanas. Be it The Stalwart Tanwers, The Ferocious Choondawats, The Pujyaniya Bhils or The undaunting Charans, author fondly remembers their supreme sacrifice and accounts their valour without mincing words. Book also contains a very valiant description of the womenfolk and how they helped the yoddhas in keeping this yagya alight by being the samidha, literally in alot of cases. The Author very illustratively dismantles the narrative of The Amer house being the traitor of Hindu Dharma. He elucidates the conditions they faced and how they, The Kachwaha rajputs, couldn't have been more of Hindutva praharis. The Amer house single handedly contained the conversion frenzy of jalaluddin and aurangzeb out of rajasthan and built and patroned uncountable number of Hindu mandirs and pilgrimage. The accounting of HH Raja Man Singh is a goosebumpy read.

This is not a mere history book but a Granth that will rekindle the bhaav of being a kshatriya in Hindus. This Granth is not only a story about a single family, it is an account of unprecedented resistance by Hindu Maharajas along with their most faithful warriors against the sandstorm of islamic jihadi desert cultist looters. How this family for 1400 years stood between uncouth, uncivilized islamic barbarians and Sanatan dharma and never once complained. This Granth will play an important role in cultivating fearlessness in Hindus.
I bow down to Aadarniya Dr Shri Omendra Singh Ratnu for penning down this extraordinary and much needed masterpiece. I thank him for putting in exhaustive efforts in researching and providing us with narrative well fed with facts.
