NCC, an abbriviation for national cadet corps. NCC is a governmental organisation which is made to groom the youth of our country into gentlemens, persons with discipline, man of honour and above all a true patriot. It does play a vital role in encouraging students to join the armed forces.

To be precise, National Cadet Corps is a Tri- service organization which came into being in April 16, 1948. Since then the corps have made India proud on countless occasions and served the country in numerous ways.

NCC does not only groom and prepare you to be one of a kind, but it also gives you opportunities and incentives to be an officer in any field. The certificaes i.e. B and C certificates have other profits too. There is no dearth of recruits in India, we have a healthy population to be a large army but the real problem is to find suitable candidates for selection as commissioned and to trial this error, to cope up with this problem There are 164 regular reserved vacancies in IMA and OTA (64+100 resp.). It does play a vital role in encouraging students to join the armed forces. It has other profits too.

But more than profits and incentives, NCC is about being disciplined. The 3 years we spend in NCC are the years we carve our future; the routine we follow in our camps is what makes us strong, the classes we attend provide us with all around knowledge, the motivational lectures we attend keep us ablaze.

NCC is the superlative organization and the only government organization which imparts students with rudimentary army tactics, weapon handling, makes them physically tough, mentally strong and enables them to face all kinds of hardships assertively; in addition it makes them tender, generous, kind and a true gentleperson. Apart from being as tough as a rock and stubborn a cadet embeds some qualities like: 1. A strong character 2. Sense of responsibility 3. Confidence 4. Brotherhood 5. Punctuality 6. Honesty And all these self-taught qualities come along the way of an individual’s NCC journey. As te chetwood motto goes,"thw safety, honour and welfare of your country comes first, always an every time. The honour, welfare and comfort of the men you command comes next. Your own ease, comfort and safety comes last, always and every time." And we, cadets abide to this.

NCC makes us understand what life is or what it is like being a soldier, and teaches us hundreds of life lessons along the way. It inculcates the love for our country deep inside us. And to sum up at last, I would like to say “We are united, We are disciplined.” Jai hind

" RSS is not SANGHI enough! " "Sanghi who never went to a shakha", similar to the title the book is also lengthy, but in a good way, the other way of putting it might be, it is very well explained. But this is what happens when a person who likes talking writes a book. Author often digresses from the original story arc and starts explaining facts, figures and details, though it doesn't make the book boring because the author certainly has interesting stories and experiences to share in his ' चिर परिचित अंदाज़ '. The book is all about Rahul Roushan's journey from being a 'Congressi hindu' to a 'Sanghi'. Author also very vividly explains the two terms and I can't fathom how 'Congressi hindu' is not a गाली already. I mean most of the Hindus I know are unknowingly Congressi Hindus. First of all I am not the right person to write/review anything remotely related to Sanjeev Sanyal sir. I mean, i absolutely, whole heartedly love the guy. My maiden encounter with the brilliance that is Sanjeev sir was surprisingly through a whatsapp forward video in which he was speaking about the ancient Maharajas of Bharatvarsha and I was immediately starstruck and awestruck. Unfortunately, the video did not have any information about the speaker, so I was left with no choice but to search him with vague, made up terms such as "white kurta guy speaks about Maharaja Suheldev" and what not. Finally my thirst quenched when I came across another one of his video on one of my favourite YouTube channels, Sangam Talks and there he was The Sanjeev Sanyal, in his bit "loose cordoury jacket loved by the academics world over".
